Low Wage Work

Susan Nall Bales, President of FrameWorks, consulted with Douglas Gould and Company and FrameWorks collaborator Meg Bostrom on research regarding how the American public thinks about the working poor and low-wage work. This work was part of the Ford Foundation's project Making Work Pay for Families Today. The research reports that resulted, "Between a Rock and a Hard Place: An Analysis of the Portrayal of Low-Wage Workers in the Media" and "Achieving the American Dream: A Meta-Analysis of Public Opinion Concerning Poverty, Upward Mobility, and Related Issues" can be found at Douglas Gould and Company.
