  • FrameWorks Communications Awards

The FrameWorks Institute is pleased to announce the first recipients of the FrameWorks Communications Awards, designed to recognize those communications campaigns nationwide that do the best job of advancing public understanding of social problems. Nominations were received from nonprofit and commercial organizations, networks and affiliates, community and national agencies across the country. Each of the winning agencies received a $500 award and a certificate of achievement.

Three campaigns were judged excellent in their campaign materials and approach by FrameWorks officials and collaborating experts:

    • "What do you want to be labeled as?" — National Crime Prevention Council with the Advertising Council
    • "It's About Time for Kids" — Mideast King County Community Public Health and Safety Network (King County, Washington)
    • "Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies" — Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative

Congratulations to the award winners, who are also featured in FrameWorks' new CD-Rom for the Annie E. Casey Foundation, "Making Community Connections."
