CA Surgeon General's campaign brings attention to toxic stress and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

The California Surgeon General’s Office recently launched its “Live Beyond” Campaign, an initiative aiming to raise awareness and improve understanding about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress. The campaign and this article discussing it are great examples of effectively framing adversity. Specifically, they are grounded in the perspectives of people with lived experience, they explain why ACEs are experienced unevenly in different communities, they frame toward collective solutions, and they point to the possibility of positive outcomes.
