Paula Tyler had a long and distinguished career in the field of human services and retired as the President of the Norlien (now Palix) Foundation in 2014.

Paula Tyler had a long and distinguished career in the field of human services and retired as the President of the Norlien (now Palix) Foundation in 2014. Previously, Paula was Vice President, Child and Women’s Health and Specialized Clinical Services for the Calgary Health Region. Prior to this, she served as Vice President and COO, Mental Health at Capital Health in Edmonton and Vice President Child and Women’s Health for the Calgary Health Region. Her other professional experience includes Chief Executive, Child Youth and Family Services for the Government of New Zealand and Deputy Minister for Alberta Children’s Services. Ms. Tyler Chaired The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse and Addiction, a legislated Canadian federal agency focusing on public policy in the areas of addiction and substance control policy.  She has served in a number of senior volunteer roles locally, provincially and nationally in the areas Disabilities, Children and the arts.
