Bringing Power Home: Reframing Place Through the Lens of Class and Race

October 6, 2026 · 3:00 PM–4:00 PM ET

Across America, the places we live are deeply shaped by racial and economic injustice. Over the past year, FrameWorks has worked closely with the leaders of power building organizations to identify frames and narratives that organizers can use to connect communities’ day-to-day experiences to unjust systems and to engage people in collective action. After a brief introduction to the framing strategy that emerged from the project, we discussed  the key questions and insights that arose through this work.

In this roundtable, the FrameWorks’ team was joined by three of our advisory board members who shared their expertise and experience fighting against injustice and exploitation in their communities:

• Kayla Griffin Green, Dignity of Work Institute
• Samantha Mellerson, Haywood Burns Institute
• Anahkwet, Menīkānaehkem
