Cultural mindsets complicate efforts to increase awareness of, build understanding on, and boost support for the systems reforms necessary to better support positive mental health and resilience in young people. There are a specific set of mindsets that are most obstinate in this role as well as a set of common communication practices that activate them. There are also a narrative and framing practices that advocates can use to navigate around these challenges and open space for more productive public dialogue around the important issue of youth mental health.
