Marinieves Alba

Marinieves Alba is a cultural worker, educator, writer, and activist born and raised in New York City. She has worked in the international NGO and non-profit sector for over two decades, specializing in issues related to racial and cultural equity in the arts, education, and social justice. An organizational development and program strategist, trainer, facilitator, and coach, Marinieves is an advocate for holistic and culturally responsive approaches to capacity building and leadership development. Serving clients motivated by a commitment to service, transformation, and liberation, Marinieves uses an interdisciplinary approach to tackling the challenges of creating a more just, equitable, and joyous world. She holds degrees from Wesleyan University and NYU/Wagner and professional certificates from Fordham University and the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP). She is also an alumna of the Third World Newsreel, WBAI/Pacifica, the Interaction Institute for Social Change, and the Rockwood Leadership Institute.
