The way we frame, or position, our issues and information can be the difference between cutting through and opening up space for a productive conversation and shutting down thinking and having people reject our messages and ideas. Over the last 50 years, an area of scholarship has developed that helps guide these decisions. The science of framing suggests a set of practices that we can use to more effectively frame ideas.
